Mobile Money in the Middle East

We’re quite excited about the recent announcement to bring the first mobile payment systems to the Middle East. The National Bank of Kuwait has partnered up with several mobile service providers in the region for the six-month trial. Also in on the partnership are Nokia, Visa, VIVOtech, and Zain. The trial aims to intriduce the following milestones:

1. Introducing consumers to ’smart posters’

2. Offering free Visa prepaid card for download via the ’smart posters’

3. Enabling mobile payments through the prepaid Visa or their personal credit card
